How do I apply for home care?
If you need home care, you must contact the assessment personnel of the authorisation unit within your elderly district.

A member of the assessment personnel will visit you and help you determine your needs for assistance alongside relatives if necessary.
If you meet the requirements for assistance, the assessment personnel will complete the following:

The assessment personnel will respond to your application no later than seven days after your request.
How do I apply for cleaning assistance?
If you need cleaning assistance, you must contact the assessment personnel of the authorisation unit within your elderly district.
The assessment personnel will visit you and help you, alongside relatives if necessary, determine your needs for assistance.
If you meet the requirements for assistance, the assessment personnel will complete the following:
A functionality estimate describing your needs for assistance
A determination of the cause for assistance, what specific tasks you need help for and for how long it should last.
The assessment personnel will respond to your application no later than seven days after your request.
How do I apply for a meal programme?
If you need a meal programme, you must contact the assessment personnel of the authorisation unit within your elderly district.
The assessment personnel will visit you and help you, alongside relatives if necessary, determine your needs for assistance. The assessment personnel will process your application and contact you no later than seven days after the visit.
No later than 14 days after the assessment unit has received your application for a meal programme, you will start receiving meals.
The food can be delivered with short notice if there is an immediate need for it – for instance at sudden illness.
The assistance you will be granted will be determined in a report that entails information on the specific service, the supplier you have chosen, the delivery method, and the time frame for the meal delivery.
How do I cancel or rearrange my assistance?
If you are prevented from receiving your care or assistance on an arranged time and date, you must let the caretaker or the supplier delivering the assistance know on the day before (before 3pm) unless it is an immediate situation.
You must cancel your deliveries if you are gone for a longer period of time, for instance on holiday.
If you wish to rearrange to another day you also have to contact the caretaker or the supplier delivering the assistance. If the caretaker or the supplier is not able to rearrange the assistance, it is regarded as a cancellation.
Sufficient contact information is available to you from the report completed by the assessment personnel and from the information materials given to you by the supplier.
How do I apply for home nursing care?
Your general practitioner or the hospital will refer you to a home nursing care arrangement.
